Magnum Lock Traditional tuners combine the popular Gotoh 381 tuning mechanism with the extremely useful Magnum Lock toplocking function. For this, the string is simply pulled through the axle as usual and then clamped via the screw mechanism at the tip of the winding axle. This means that fewer axle windings are required and the instrument becomes tuneable far more quickly after a string change.
